Whew, we have a lot going on here! Over the next few weeks you may see a lot of us.
We just did three weddings and have a few more next week. We have been REALLY REALLY busy with customers coming in through the front door (THANK YOU!) AND we are planning our participation in a bunch of big events coming up.
We are particpating in two library programs. The first is a program called “I Heart Cupcakes” featuring red velvet cupcakes for Valentine’s Day. One of our baker’s, Anna, will give a quick presentation on what is like to study and go to culinary school and what it is like being a baker. Then the kids get to decorate their own cupcakes! It is so much fun and has been a HUGE hit at the libraries so far. Dates and tiems vary by library. See the event calendar here for this presentation http://www.multcolib.org/events/cupcake.html
The second library program is called “Delectable Designs with Cucpake Jones” in which our bakers present information about the history of chocolate and vanilla and kids get to decorate their own cupcakes again! Check out the events page at your library web site for a schedule of our events. You can start here http://www.multcolib.org/events/
Next, we are exhibiting and offering a seminar at the World Forestry Center’s Chocolate Fest on February 2nd and 3rd. We will be selling mini cupcakes individually, in four packs, and in dozens. Anna and Elizabeth, two of our very talented pastry chefs, will be giving a talk on “Baking at Home with Fine Chocolates” on Sunday February 2nd at 11am. Dont’ miss it! Check it out! http://www.worldforestrycenter.org/organization/ChocolateFest.php
KPTV’s “On the Go With Joe”
As a lead up to Chocolate Fest, catch us on KPTV’s morning show on Thursday January 31st. We will be taking part in a remote report in the early morning hours with Joe V.
