ANNOUNCING Our New and Improved benefit program called “Benefit Months”!

Your purchases any day, all the time, without exception will help us contribute to a lucky local non profit.

We will donate a portion of all sales to a new non profit organization each month. We have found that this gives us an opportunity to do more for each organization we work with and we can get creative with ways to work together throughout the month! It’s truly a WIN-WIN and very FUN! Often the Benefit Month coincides with the organization’s annual gala or a big fundraiser so we can get the word out even more.

Who can apply to be a beneficiary?

Beneficiaries must be a 501(c)3 non profit organization. We select the beneficiaries for each year by the end of November the previous year by a panel of volunteer judges. Applications are due November 20th each year. We give preference to local non profits but local affiliates of national and international organizations will certainly be considered.

How can we apply to be a beneficiary?

To apply, send an email from your nonprofit .org email address to info@cupcakejones.net say that you’d like a Benefit Month Application. We’ll email it right out to you!

Can I nominate a non profit that I volunteer with?

Technically, no. You can encourage a non profit to apply, though! We need the request to come directly from an employee of the non profit.

How much might the donation be?

That’s all up to you! We have given many non profits over $500 for their monthly donation. The success of the benefit month truly lies in the hands of the non profit organization and how well they publicize it, market it, have fun with it, spread the word, and work it. We also include extra perks like free use of our party space and more…

How will our Benefit Month be promoted?

We promote all beneficiaries equally throughout each month on facebook and twitter as well as in the bakery. The non profit organization can have a spot on our counter for literature and we post the non profit’s name on our chalkboard right at the cash register so all our customers can see who they are helping this month!

We’ll work with you to discover many ways we can creatively help you reach out to your fans.

PINKALICIOUS PARTIES ARE BACK!

PINKALICIOUS PARTIES

Choose a cupcake decorating party or upgrade your experience to include a tea party, too; served on antique china with finger sandwiches and more. Both parties feature pink decor and Pinkalicious themes! All parties take place at our party and event space, right next door to Cupcake Jones at 307 NW 10th Avenue.

Make a day of it! Schedule your party on the day you see Pinkalicious, The Musical. (Very limited weekend dates available.) Park in the Pearl District and the Portland Streetcar can pick you up one block from the bakery and drop you off two short blocks from the theater. Party Packages:

CUPCAKE DECORATING PARTY 

Includes two hours in our party space, two fun party hosts/esses, cupcake decorating (two jumbo or four mini cupcakes), beverages, games, coloring activity, music, set up, clean up, packaging for safe transport of your cupcakes, time to open gifts and a “happy birthday” wall banner, (if a birthday party), and a coupon for a free cupcake on your next visit to Cupcake Jones!

$300 includes up to 12 participants. $25 for each additional participant up to 15 total. (Also includes coffee/tea for parents and adult chaperones. There is space for up to 6 adult observers). Ages 4 and up ONLY.

TEA PARTY UPGRADE

Make it even more memorable by adding a tea party! In addition to the above cupcake decorating party, this experience also includes tea service on antique china, honey, milk, and lemon, crustless finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, linen tablecloths and napkins.

$400 includes up to 12 participants. This experience is limited to 12 participants. (Also includes coffee/tea for parents and adult chaperones. There is space for up to 6 adult observers). Ages 6 and up ONLY.

Frosting, Live Music, Hugs and Fun at a Cupcake Jones Tea Party!

We recently had the honor of helping another lovely little girl celebrate her birthday with a Cupcake Jones Tea Party in our party space and her delightfully talented mommy took a few photos to share. 

We love the fact that they used the space in so many ways; Cupcake Decorating, Coloring, Games, Tea Service, Dancing… even live music and hugs! Check it out!

CUPCAKE JONES BENEFIT MONTH ANNOUNCEMENT for JULY: HRC (Human RIghts Campaign)

On the heels of a wildly successful benefit month for PHAME ACADEMY in June, we announce our beneficiary for July…. Human Rights Campaign also know as HRC. Specifically, the finds will go to support a locally produced annual event called the HRC Women’s 3 x 3 Basketball Tournament.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 28th at Irving Park at NE 7th and Fremont. The teams of three have the opportunity to compete in three different competitive groups. It’s LOADS of fun and all for a fantastic organization, HRC.

What is HRC? “According to their website, “HRC seeks to improve the lives of LGBT Americans by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring families are treated equally under the law and increasing public support among all Americans.”

Sounds good to us!

What does “Benefit Month” mean? Cupcake Jones believes in supporting the community that supports us. To that end, we have developed a “Benefit Month” program by which we donate a percentage of ALL SALES EVERY DAY of the year! Each month the funds raised are donated to a different non profit beneficiary. Just one more way for us to say “THANK YOU” for your support but more importantly, for all the hard work that these organizations do all year long!

Yup…we have vegan cupcakes!

Our vegan friends love cupcakes too. So we bake vegan cupcakes fresh all day everyday.

We spent months perfecting these recipes to make certain that they taste just as sweet and delicious as all of our other flavors. We use the highest quality ingredients possible and all ingredients are certified vegan. Even the flour and sugar!

To make them taste delicious and still ensure that the cupcakes are vegan we make a few substitutions. Some examples include:

• Coconut Milk
• Soy Cream Cheese
• Earth Balance Butter Substitute
• Coconut Yogurt
• Vegan Sugar & Flour

Our vegan cupcakes come in 3 flavors! Chocolate, Vanilla, and of course, RED VELVET;  yummy cupcakes that you can feel good about eating!

You can tell our vegan cupcakes from our regular ones by the cute little vegan chocolate cutouts on top in three shapes, stars, hearts and circles. They’re dusted with shimmery edible lustre dust, too! Pretty…..!
